Exit Realty on the Rock pledges commitment to the Daffodil Place CampaignApril 2008
The Canadian Cancer Society has declared Exit Realty on the Rock as a “champion” of the St. John's Daffodil Place Campaign. At a special event held on April 17, 2008, Anne Squires, broker, Exit Realty on the Rock made the commitment to raise $100,000 for the new facility.
Daffodil Place will be a 24 suite facility to accommodate those who have to travel to the Newfoundland capital for cancer treatment, providing emotional and practical support for cancer patients and their families. Construction is scheduled to be completed in early 2009.
The company was one of the first to get involved in the Daffodil Place Campaign last June with the staging of the “Rock-A-Thon”. But the company wanted to do more, so this September Exit Realty on the Rock will host a gala event with CBC news anchor Peter Mansbridge as host. “We have all been affected by cancer and as REALTORS®; we know the value that Daffodil Place will have on the lives of people living with cancer,” says broker Anne Squires.
John Steele, Chairperson of the Daffodil Place Campaign, says” the corporate leadership being exhibited by Anne Squires and her team at Exit Realty on the Rock is what will help us achieve our goal of $7,000,000. Their commitment will encourage others to be generous in the effort to build Daffodil Place.”
