Chilliwack REALTORS® give DARE program a boost
November 2006

A popular anti-drug and violence program in Chilliwack and area schools has been given a significant boost with a $4,500 donation from the Chilliwack and District Real Estate Board (CADREB).

The donation by local REALTORS® to the DARE program (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) will help organizers to continue to carry the program's valuable message to local students. Some 36 million children around the world participate in the DARE program, which teaches youth how to resist negative peer pressure and live productive drug and violence-free lives.

"CADREB is very pleased to be an ongoing supporter of this program," said Hanne Selby, Board President. "The RCMP has done an excellent job of working with the youth in our community and we are proud to support them in this very worthwhile initiative."

"It's in everyone's best interest to play an active part in education, as providing children with the tools they need to grow up strong and healthy and productive members of our community benefits everyone," Selby added.
